Music superstar Beyoncé lip synched her rendition of the National Anthem during President Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremonies on Monday.
The Marine Corp Band’s spokeswoman has confirmed that Beyoncé’s performance was pre-recorded. Beyoncé decided shortly before her performance to rely on the backing track she recorded previously, as opposed to risking a live performance.
